The Great Iditarod Race starts on the first Satuday of March in Alaska! We enjoyed learning about the history of the Iditarod (the Balto story), learning about the current races (gear they need, territory they cross, etc), learning about Iditarod Vocabulary, and each getting to choose a Musher to follow throughout the race. Cade chose Lance Mackey, who was this year's champion! Here are the students "teaching" the rest of the class about a certain "apect" of the Iditarod.
